How to install your redesign

Your redesign is delivered as an HTML file. Here's how to get it onto your site, no matter what platform you use.

Important: This product is delivered as raw HTML. Installing it requires either basic comfort with your website's editor (pasting code into a custom HTML / embed block) or access to whoever built or maintains your site. If you're not sure whether you can install HTML on your site, please check before purchasing — open your site editor and look for a "Custom Code", "HTML Embed", or "Code Block" option, or ask your developer. Refunds are available within 30 days, but the install itself is your responsibility.

Squarespace

Hard — requires Business plan or higher

  1. Log in and go to the page you want to update.
  2. Click the section you want to replace, then click the trash icon to remove it.
  3. Click the + button where the section was, choose Add Section → Blank.
  4. Inside that section, add a Code Block (this requires the Business plan).
  5. Paste the full HTML from your delivered file into the Code Block.
  6. Save and preview. If layout breaks, switch the Code Block to 'Display Source: Off' and re-paste.

Wix

Medium-Hard

  1. Open the Wix Editor and navigate to your homepage.
  2. Click Add Elements (+) → Embed Code → Embed HTML.
  3. Drag the Embed widget where you want the redesign to live.
  4. Click Enter Code, paste the full HTML, and click Update.
  5. Resize the widget to fit. You may need to delete the existing hero section above it first.

WordPress

Medium

  1. Log in to wp-admin and edit the page you want to update.
  2. Delete the existing hero block.
  3. Click + to add a block, then search for 'Custom HTML'.
  4. Paste the full HTML from your delivered file into the Custom HTML block.
  5. Preview before publishing — some themes inject extra wrappers that can affect spacing.

Webflow

Medium

  1. Open the Designer and select the page.
  2. Drag an Embed element from the Add Elements panel into the position you want.
  3. Paste the full HTML into the Embed editor and click Save & Close.
  4. Publish. Note: Embed elements only render on the published site, not in the Designer preview.

Shopify

Medium-Hard

  1. From your admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
  2. Find the section you want to replace (usually 'Image banner' or 'Rich text' on the homepage).
  3. Remove that section. Then add a 'Custom Liquid' section in the same spot.
  4. Paste the full HTML into the Custom Liquid block.
  5. Save and preview before publishing the theme.

Custom-coded site

Easy (for your developer)

  1. Open the HTML file you received.
  2. In your codebase, locate the existing hero section markup on the homepage.
  3. Replace that section with the HTML from the file.
  4. Make sure any global stylesheets or fonts referenced still load correctly.
  5. Test on mobile, then deploy.

Send it to your developer

Don't want to install it yourself? Copy the template below and forward it — along with the HTML file — to whoever maintains your site.

Email template
Hi [name],

I had a website redesign produced for [your-domain.com] and I'd like you to install it.

Attached / pasted below is an HTML file. The redesign is the new hero section (the top portion of the homepage) and is meant to replace the current hero on the homepage only.

Could you:
1. Replace the existing hero section on the homepage with the HTML provided.
2. Make sure it's responsive on mobile and matches the rest of the site's font stack if possible.
3. Send me a preview link before publishing.

If anything looks like it won't work with our current theme/setup, let me know what's blocking it and roughly what it would take to make it work.

Thanks,
[your name]
